Putnam County WorkAdvance Cohort

Jul 9, 2024

In partnership with the Workforce Partnership of Putnam County (WPPC), the AMC proudly announces the graduation of another Work Advance Cohort. These dedicated students are now well-equipped to enter the local manufacturing workforce.

The cohort consisted of six individuals who successfully completed 80 hours of comprehensive training. The first 40 hours focused on career readiness, while the subsequent 40 hours provided industry-relevant technical skills training. The technical training involved a mix of interactive educational modules on various topics and hands-on training related to the daily lessons.

To demonstrate their acquired knowledge, students took an intensive 75-question final exam and earned the Certified Manufacturing Associate Certification, an industry-recognized credential provided by Tooling U – SME.

Graduates are currently working with the WPPC to secure interviews with one of the program’s twelve manufacturing employer partners in the county. Additionally, participants have access to a dedicated career coach and an array of supportive resources for the first year of their employment journey.
